Granulation Process

1. I created a coil around a 2mm round bar with 0.5mm wire and then cut them so that they were of equal size to ensure that the granules are of equal size.

2. Once each ring has been cut, they were placed upon a charcoal block and then heated to create a granule.

3. Once heated the granules are pickled (cleaned), dried off and placed into a container. each granule is 1.5mm in diameter.

 

4. The main structure had been manufactured using 2mm square wire.

In order to understand an object it needs to be explored through line, shape and form, colour, tone and texture. This process was used whilst looking at Crystal Systems, both the internal and external structure of a crystal.
